AQUAvalve is a completely intelligent system that forces the plant to use up all the water and nutrients available to it before it supplies more.

This means that the plants experience the wet/dry cycle just as they do in nature, ensuring an optimal result.

How to use

When the tank is filled with water and the relevant liquid fertilisers have been added, the fertilisers will begin to flow through the line from the reservoir, through the nozzle of the AQUAvalve and into the tray.

Once the tray is filled with water, air will become trapped in the main body and around the ‘inner float’, causing the ‘inner float’ to rise, and the trapped air will be released from the main body, causing the ‘inner float’ to rise and stopping the supply. The water level will have reached 20mm.

The potted plants in the tray will begin to draw down the water level, causing the “upper float” to close, creating a vacuum within the main body of the AQUAvalve. This vacuum traps the water within the main body, keeping the “inner float” up and shut off from the water supply.

When the water level has dropped completely, the surface tension around the main body of the AQUAvalve will gradually release, which can take up to 30 minutes. Then all the water trapped in the main body, which was holding the “inner float” up and the water supply shut off, will be released, causing the “inner float” to drop and the water supply to open.
