Lumatek’s Dimmable Electronic Ballasts are high performance horticultural ballasts designed to deliver quality results every time.
These ballasts produce a stable and consistent light output. They are microprocessor controlled and feature smart start and short circuit protection so your light switches won’t trip.
Small, compact and quiet ballasts with really easy handling and assembly. They are efficient ballasts that produce little heat and are manufactured with high-quality electronic components, ensuring a long life and minimal PAR/PPF loss.

Advantages of using ballasts with power regulator.
Radiation can generate stress in plants for different reasons: high intensity, low intensity or wavelength of radiation.
The photosynthetic apparatus of plants is highly efficient in the absorption and use of light.
However, high light intensities in early vegetative stages generate more photochemical energy than the leaves can use for photosynthesis. For this reason, plants reach the saturation point (point at which light intensity does not generate an increase in the photosynthetic rate) and as a consequence there is an unnecessary waste of electricity. The ideal is to adapt the light intensity to the phenological state of the plants as they grow, that is, to reach the compensation point at which (at a given temperature) the photosynthesis rate and the respiration rate are equal. The power regulator allows us to adapt this light intensity to the “age” of the plants, so in young plants and cuttings we can start at 50% and progressively increase the intensity as they grow, until they reach maturity where we will reach 100% (or 110% in ballasts with “Super Lumens” mode).
