Jiffy trays are made of peat, wood fiber and lime to adjust the pH. This composition guarantees sufficient consistency in humid conditions and the porous structure allows easy penetration of the roots, good water retention as well as excellent aeration of the substrate.

The root system remains intact at the time of transplant, preventing plants from suffering post-transplant shock since they are planted in a pot that ends up decomposing with the rest of the substrate since it is biodegradable.
