The colour of these lamps is mainly red, with orange, red and yellow tones that stand out, producing certain effects on plants such as: production of more flower buds, massive flowering, flower fattening, etc. Within this group there are some lamps whose spectrum also includes more bluish tones and are well known in horticulture (Solux Green Force, pHilips Son-t Agro, Sylvana Grolux and pHilips Master Son-T Pia Green Power). The star products in the sector are the SOLUX lamps, which have proven their effectiveness and performance, being the most used by professionals.
When should I change the sodium lamp? We recommend changing the lamp when the value of the loss of production is greater than the value of a new lamp, that is, around 50 euros (in the case of a 600 W lamp). Professional nurserymen and indoor growers change the lamp after every crop. |
