Ercal 3000 Eretmocerurs Eremicus (Whitefly) is a parasitic wasp of the two existing species of whitefly (Bemisia tabaci and Trialeurodes vaporariorum) used in greenhouses for the biological control of whitefly. In addition to being parasites, adults are also predators, feeding directly on whitefly larvae. As soon as the parasite is born, it leaves a perfectly round, yellow-coloured hole behind. These pupae are easily distinguished from normal whitefly pupae, which are transparent white with an opening consisting of two cross-shaped slits.

How to use

  • Open the box carefully inside the greenhouse.
  • Fold and tear off the strips on the side opposite the installation hole.
  • Hang the cards between the crop at about 75 cm below the top of the plant.
  • Avoid direct sunlight.
  • Do not touch the pupae.
  • For effective results, a minimum temperature of 20ºC is required for 24 hours. They can also be introduced at lower or higher temperatures up to 30ºC.
  • Beneficial biological organisms have a very short life cycle, so storage will be 1 to 2 days.
  • At a temperature of 8-10ºC and in a dark place.
  • They are presented in the form of parasitized pupae on a card to hang on the plants.
  • The dose is 1 card per plant.
