Insect-Frass is a completely natural fertilizer produced on sustainable insect farms, made from the droppings of the mealworm beetle. Its larvae are bred on food waste and produce this excellent fertilizer for all types of plants. This natural product, sandy in consistency and brownish-brown in color, is odorless and feels like a dry granule to the touch.
Due to its origin and the chitin content characteristic of this species, the product promotes the systemic resistance of plants and their activation in the face of the appearance of pests and pathogens.
Characteristics
It contains a large amount of essential nutrients, as well as organic matter, while maintaining an optimal carbon/nitrogen ratio. This feature, together with its neutral pH value, improves soil properties and plant-environment interactions at all levels.
Main features: fixes environmental nitrogen, solubilises free phosphorus and potassium in the soil, reduces abiotic stress, increases crop yield, improves the soil, inhibits the formation of pathogenic fungi and bacteria.
Guaranteed richness
Total nitrogen (N) 5.00% w/w – Phosphorus (P2O5) 4.00% w/w – Potassium oxide (K2O) 3.00% w/w – Magnesium (MgO) 0.85% w/w – Organic matter 72% w/w – C/N ratio 8.2 – Humidity 12% w/w – pH 6.1-6.5 ;
Application and dosage
The most common way of incorporating the fertilizer is by applying it directly to the ground, and it is advisable to bury it superficially.
Large crops: 500 to 750 kg per hectare for tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, cabbages, leeks, asparagus, strawberries, melons, watermelons, potatoes, carrots, etc.
For fruit trees, apply 1 to 1.5 kilos per tree per year.
Orchards and small gardens: To prepare new orchards, apply 0.5 to 1 kilo for every 30 square meters and mix thoroughly on top (5-7 cm of soil). For new transplants, add 5 to 10 grams per hole, mix into the soil and water well. To feed established plants, apply 25-50 grams, depending on plant size and desired growth rate, once a month for the life of the plant.
Containers and pots: For new plantings, add 2.5-5 grams per litre of substrate and mix well. To feed established plants, apply 2 grams per litre of substrate to the soil surface once a month for the life of the plant.
