With this nitric acid you will be able to adjust the nutrient solution to the most suitable pH for your substrate. This product must be handled with care because it can cause serious burns on contact as it is nitric acid which will add extra nitrogen to the solution.
When using organic stimulants we must correct the pH as the acids eliminate very important characteristics of the stimulants.
When using chemical fertilizers it is advisable to correct the pH after adding the fertilizers. The stimulants must be added with the corrected pH. B.A.C. PH down and pH up are also used to remove bicarbonate from water with high hardness. To prepare the solution, add pH down until reaching pH 5.2 and allow the acid to react with the bicarbonate. The water will then drop to pH 3. With pH up, we raise the pH to the appropriate level depending on the substrate we use and whether the fertilizer is organic or mineral. Check the pH in the tables.
