Silicid Acid is Elite 91’s proposed concentration of silicic acid. It features a concentration of 4.1% monosilicic acid and 1.2% plant-available silicon, 21 different organic L-amino acids, and contains zinc, boron, molybdenum, and manganese for an additional micronutrient boost. This is a remarkably concentrated formulation whilst remaining 100% soluble.
Silicon helps to strengthen plant cell structure, aids in the uptake of essential nutrients, boosts the immune system and helps plants withstand environmental stresses caused by heat, cold and drought.
Silicic Acid is suitable for all soil-based, soilless and hydroponic growing media and can be used in conjunction with any premium nutrient and/or fertiliser programme.
Directions for Use
Use Silicic Acid with every feeding from the seedling/cutting growth stage through the 7th or 8th week of the crop’s flowering cycle. Double the standard dosage per 10 gallons with root or foliar applications to reduce stretching in the early flowering phase.
Do not pre-mix. Always add clean, fresh water to the reservoir first, then add Silicic Acid. Mix well and then add the rest of the fertilizers and additives. Bring the pH of the final nutrient solution into the range of 5.8 to 6.3.
Do not contaminate the bottle/container with water, dust, dirt or debris.
Always use clean, dry measuring instruments when removing Silicic Acid from the bottle/container.
Dosing
- Soil, Coco, Hydroponics: 0.5 ml – 1 ml per 10 gallons.
- Standard Dosing Rate: 3 ml per 5 gallons.
- Aggressive Dosing Rate: 6 ml per 5 gallons.
- Seedlings/Cuttings: Pre-soak preferred choice of growing medium in a solution using 0.25 ml – 0.5 ml per 10 gallons of water along with a Base nutrient and other additives to boost and protect plant growth. Continue to use the same dosage rate to feed your new starts during the rooting phase.
- Foliar Spray/Treatment: 1ml to 2ml per liter.
- Standard Dosage Rate: 4ml per 10 gallons
- Aggressive Dosage Rate: 8ml per 10 gallons
- Spray the entire plant with the lights off. Once or twice a week.
- Adjust pH as needed before application.
- Silicic Acid serves as an effective surfactant and does not require any additional wetting agents for proper penetration and/or absorption.
