Synergy™ is a water-soluble powder containing the fungus responsible for helping plants achieve decisive success in root development.

This arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (AMF) stimulates growth and productivity in most plants on our planet, in addition to improving soil conditions.

Multiple benefits for growers

  • Versatile species that is more efficient when used with fertilizer
  • Promoting greater nutrient absorption through the roots improving crop yield.
  • Amazing symbiotic growth with rapid colonization and accelerated growth of the plants
  • Higher efficacy than other varieties currently used

Versatile mycorrhizal species

Not all mycorrhizae have consistent benefits when used in conventional crop production, usually because fertilizer use suppresses their growth. Most species marketed are dramatically affected by fertilizer use. This contradiction is a major problem in agriculture. The fungi in Synergy are grown in saline environments, which makes them easier to adapt to high electrical connectivity fertilizers.

In highly fertilized environments, Glomus Mosseae and Glomus Intraradices reduce their efficiency, while studies show that Glomus Iranicum increases yield in highly fertilized environments. In container trials, G. iranicum had more mycelium than G. mosseae (3-fold) or G. intradices (2-fold) after 75 days of growth. Plants also had higher wet and dry weights for leaves and flowers.

Rapid Colonization

This species produces high amounts of external mycelium, while at the same time achieving higher levels of internal colonization than comparable products.

Root attachment is the primary goal of this species. It produces smaller spores than other commercial mycorrhizae, allowing it to move more quickly through irrigation systems and soil structures. These smaller spores are found in groups of 8 individuals, which improve the initial contact with the root hair (roots).

Impact on Roots

Synergy produces significant changes in root development. The root structure is accelerated horizontally and supercharged by the fast-moving mycelium.

Interestingly, this stress generates increased microbial activity that feeds nutrients to other organisms. This ensures higher microbial concentrations as crops grow, whilst still reaping the full benefits of increased root biomass.

Better use of light

Studies have shown that applications of this species have resulted in increased photosynthetic activity, whilst reducing transpiration levels.

This means that plants use water more efficiently whilst retaining more light which they convert into energy for the plant.
